Bothersome Budgeting

I admit that I have not been quite steadfast in my quest to embrace frugality. If I were, I would not have spent $200 on my haircut alone (if you've seen my original hair, you would know that it's darn expensive to rebond it), would have more than $6 left in my expenditure account(and this needs to last until the 12th...sob)..etc.

One area that I really need to buck up is on my monthly budgeting. My philosophy with money is: Spend and don't ask how much it costs; Spend if it really makes you happy; Allowed to spend as long as there is money in the bank; No budget on spending for friends and family. The advantage of this is I can still buy stuff and not scrimp and save, no stress because I avoid looking at my bank balance and I NEVER spend beyond my means because I know when to stop.

Looking at this month's state of affairs though has prompted me to go into the hassle of recording expenditures and income, in hope that it will leave some room for increase in savings. I'm almost gagging writing this because those who know me knows that I hate knowing how much something costs. I swear my heart pounds harder, my cheeks will flush and I start sweating if I start looking at receipts and price tags. But what must be done has to be done.

Wish me luck...
