..The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work
An excellent, excellent book in being a "guide to an emotionally intelligent and long-lasting marriage".
Unlike other books on marriage in the market, this is the best one I've read yet cos the author debunks traditional methods in improving relationship between husband and wife. There's no more "Use 'I' statements in arguments". Instead, he uses his extensive research and experience in marital therapy to tell you, in detail, what a lasting marriage has. This is the 7 principles that he comes up with and I tell you, he's making more sense than any other psychotherapy mumbo-jumbo. At the end of each principle (including sample real life accounts/dialogues), there's an exercise for you and your partner to improve/work on that particular principle. The exercises are meant to develop the partners relationship and teach them to improve it with time.
I really borrowed this book from the library but I feel like buying a copy cos I haven't finish reading it for just the hundreth time.
