Flower Power!

I have a strong affinity for fresh flowers and am constantly on the lookout at flower shops for nice ones to decorate the home.

Today I saw these at the Tampines St 11 market and promptly bought them. The 4 lilies and the little purple ones were sold to me at $9, discounted from an original $10. (In case you're wondering, this is a reasonable price as I always fork out ard $10 everytime).






Hubby however, was confused and started the following conversation:-
Hubby: Are we expecting visitors?
Me: No. What? These are nice.
Hubby: Then would they last long?
Me: No. But that's not the point. They look nice.
Hubby: Then maybe we should start calling people up to come visit us. (At this point, he just starts exaggerating.) "Hey everyone, we have fresh flowers at our house. They last only a week so hurry, hurry, come on down. While stock lasts."
Me: Haha. Very funny.

Sometimes, the men really don't get it.

(P.s. A little bird told me that there are GORGEOUS flowers sold at Thompson at LOW, LOW prices. I have not gone there yet but only God knows how tempting that sounds.)
