I'm weirdly always into some phase of 'improving our marriage' and my husband has sweetly enough always joined into what activities I planned into achieving this goal, albeit sometimes reluctantly.
When I insisted that we went to the Marriage Convention last year, (it wasn't as good as I expected by the way), I learnt that statistics showed that couples who past the 3 year mark have significantly reduced chances of getting a divorce. And thus, that became my target. What was previously my mantra "3 more years...3 more years..." became "2 more years...2 more years..." and now "Half a year more..". At this point I'd like to point out that, obviously, I'm not even close to being a marriage counsellor and obviously, no one should come to me for marriage advice...hah!
But there is some truth to the above. I found that over time, whilst the arguments did not end, the topics became more mature and not (always) about some insignificant thing like in the former days. And I also found that we had found ways to work around some highly debated (isn't this a much nicer way to say argued??) issues, sometimes not on purpose.

By the way, Honey, let's talk about who's washing the dishes tonight ;)
P.s. I'd like to update on Humaira's progress in school I have yet to get a decent picture on her in uniform.
