At the half-way mark

In a blink of an eye, this pregnancy has past the halfway mark. We're already at Week 22 (only 18 more weeks to go!) and quite a number of people has just realised that I'm expecting as my tummy's just beginning to show.

So far, I've gained about 3kg in total. I've lost about 1-1.5kg during this fasting month but Dr. Heng said that it doesn't matter as the baby's doing well and has doubled its weight since the last check-up! This is so unlike the first pregnancy where I gained 18kg in total and I'm glad cos it's not easy to shed the pounds after the delivery. This, I speak from experience!

Dr Heng also confirmed the gender again and asked,"So will you be having two girls and two boys? Still so young, can ah." I replied,"Hopefully," and she was VERY happy.

So Alhamdullillah, everything going fine for us. Humaira is SUPER-clingy, more so than the past few months and when I'm around, everything that she does has to be with me. Bathe, eat, walk, go out, carrying her; no one else can even send her to school if I'm around. Not even her daddy. On most days, it's ok as I (secretly) enjoy this extra attention that she's showering but on days that I'm not feeling well or when we're outside and have to walk a lot, it can take it's toll as she's pretty heavy. I feel a little wistful though. They say that young kids knows that they'll be getting competition when they have a sibling and tends to cling and I know that she'll probably lose a lot of my attention when the baby comes, especially the first few months.

I have a feeling that she's going to live up to her BIG sister status though.
I know that I can depend on her.
