Naming You

Dear baby,

It's been more than 6 months that you've been in my tummy and yet, Mummy and Daddy still hasn't decided on a name for you yet. We didn't take this long to name your sister, in fact, we were calling her by her name when she was only 3 months inside me.

It's not that we haven't made an effort. If you have been listening to us, you'd know that a lot of names have come up between us but none of which we could agree on. I just can't bear to call you 'K' even though Daddy likes it so much. When I say the name out loud, I just feel that it doesn't match you, my dear. I just need to feel in my heart that the name fits, that it will be perfect. And so, our journey goes on.

We apologise that we sometimes make fun when we say that we'd name you 'Laila Majnun' (after the very old Malay movie character's name) or 'Habbatul Baraka' (after the company that sells health products which jingle we always hear on radio) if we couldn't come to a consensus even after you are born.

In any ways, do you think you could give us a hint, my dear? Maybe through Mummy's dreams? It will help us a lot if you could. For now, we'll continue to call you Adik ok? I'm sure that one of these days, we'll figure it out.
