Cookies anyone?

I'm at the 'give-me-chocolate-or-give-me-death' stage of pregnancy, which I thought wouldn't surface at all this time around. Partly because with the first, it came much earlier (Btw, I have only 6 more weeks to go y'all).

So yes, I have been eating a lot of chocolate bars and I had to resort to stealing hubby's from the fridge, or at least giving him lame excuses why I deserve another pack of Kit Kat's just for the third time within 1 hour. But hey, I actually replaced the 6-pack Kit Kats hokay? And after I ate up his Boost Totally Nuts when he wasn't looking (and that was after eating a whole bar of Crunchie chocolate), I learnt via newspaper a few days later that it was recalled because plastic pieces were found in the chocolate. Sigh, the things I get myself into.

So in desperate attempt to end this chocolate binging phase (and because I had the ingredients left over from Raya baking but this is secondary), I made myself, only for the second time in my life, Martha's Outrageous Chocolate Cookies. These are very simple to make and the first tray came out within an hour. I'm waiting for two more trays to come out and it will be all done. Btw, I've eaten two while posting this.

These are chocolatey, chewy, chocolate chunk cookies which are slightly larger than the size of one's palm. On a previous occasion, it has successfully managed to put me off chocolate for a few weeks after eating half the batch. So, I'm banging on it to work again. Forget the fact that I have been putting on 3 kg each in the past 3 months while the baby has been gaining 200-400 g only in the last 3 months. Forget the fact that I have, to date, gained 10.5 kg and if there are 6 more weeks to go, I will be gaining about 15 kg in total. Forget the fact that earlier in the pregnancy, my goal was to gain abt 10 kg in total this time around so that I wouldn't need to wait a year plus to get back into shape. In fact, throw all that information out of the window.

Because now, ladies and gentleman, it's all about me and my chocolate.

P.s. This is not a warning but I can't guarantee your survival if you choose to comment on the size my hips/butt when you see me/them.
