New Helper

Living beside a road can be a pain sometimes. For one, you get to welcome dust everyday into your house. So it's no wonder that after valiantly trying to keep it under control (with our mop-the-house-once-a-month plan, which is failing for obvious reasons), I had to come in with plan B. We did what every normal Singaporean family would do - we got ourselves a helper.

However, when the helper reported for work, it was obvious that we were facing some major issues. Like the fact that she's shorter than the cleaning equipment. That was solved by buying a mini broom and dustpan which is turqoise in colour because our helper loves colour. In a stroke of inspiration, I also removed one of the pole pieces on the dry-moppping-up-dust device so that it fits her height nicely just like so:
Can you see how happy she is to mop up the dust? Hey, we must be paying her pretty well.
But as you can see, even she is not immune the occasional sneeze with all that dust around.
