Escape the Clutches of the Cleaning Rut

The last time I cleaned the house was on the day after I came home from hospital. Then, I probably went on a disinfectant spree, washing everything in sight with Dettol, including pouring some down the washing machine while its washing the bedsheets.

Since that day though, I have been on a cleaning rut. I do nothing, absolutely nothing about the messes in the house. Hubby have been washing the dishes and that is able to tide us through a bit (so that we still have plates to eat out of). Otherwise, clothes are strewn here and there, the above-mentioned washed bedsheets are still on the clothesline, and remember the toilet I mentioned in an earlier post? The war-torn one? It's still unwashed (oooppss!).

Problem is, I just can't find the motivation to do any of it. Sometimes when I'm motivated, the house has to be perfectly clean..and I mean PERFECTLY. But other times, I can be such a slob and couldn't care less. I am never in the middle though. It's one or the other.

Have you faced a similar situation? Cos I need HELP to get me back on my butt and start cleaning!
